Hi, I’m Gale.
I Love Dogs!
Let’s save some dogs together. Click below if you would like to join us as a foster or adopt a dog through our 501c3 rescue.
A Foster Home Welcomes the Dog
Once we work with you and find a dog that could be a good fit at a local shelter or through a Facebook group for rehoming dogs, we will place the dog in a foster home. Right now, the majority of dogs stay with Gale (though we would LOVE to find more foster homes in Middle TN if you know anyone!) The dog will typically stay in the foster home for one to four weeks while they decompress.
We’ll Find Your Dog!
Fill out an application and tell us what want in terms of age, size, gender, activity level, hair length, personality, and more. We specialize in finding the perfect dog for you.
Adopting a Dog
All Dogs Go to the Vet
Our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, given a heartworm & fecal test, and examined by a licensed vet to ensure they are healthy enough for adoption. Any health issues known after this vet visit will be disclosed to the adopter. Dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered. Puppies under 6 months will need to be spayed/neutered when old enough.
Finalizing the Process
After you’ve completed the application form, we will do a video call to review your house and yard. We ask to see a copy of vet records from a previous or current pet if possible; otherwise, we will call your vet to do a reference check. Once all this is done, the final step is to electronically sign a two-page adoption contract. Finally, we will arrange a time to meet or transport the dog to you.
How Much Does It Cost?
I spend between $300 and $1000 to save each dog (avg = $650). Costs include vetting, food, treats, collar and leash, transportation, and medicine. Adopters are welcome to donate whatever they like to our rescue’s general fund, but there isn’t a set adoption fee at this time.
